“Write this letter to the angel of New Life Church in Jerusalem. This is the message from the One who sits on the heavenly throne, the Lover of all people, who called you and equipped you for every good work (Eph. 2:10). The Champion who initiates and perfects your faith. (Heb. 12:2)
I know all the things you do. I have seen your sacrifices, your hard work and your patient endurance (Rev. 2:2). I have opened a door for you that no one can close (3:8). I see your good intentions and your desire to make my Name famous. Persevere patiently, for my Name will be made great throughout the land. Relate what you have seen as inspiration for others.
I have asked you to die daily and follow me (1 Cor. 15:31; Matt. 16:24). Do not be afraid to share in My sufferings (Phil. 3:10).
As you obey my command to share each other’s burdens (Gal. 6:2) and persevere, I will give you character displayed by the fruit of the Spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Rev. 3:10; Rom. 5:3–4; Gal. 5:22–23).
Do not let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity (1 Tim. 4:12). Live a life above reproach (1 Tim. 3:2).
But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love Me or each other as deeply as you should. Be careful that your previous sacrifices of home and comfort do not give you an excuse to be complacent. Keep your eyes on Me by abiding in Me for I have more to ask of you. In unity, devote yourselves to prayer; the study, teaching and proclaiming of My Word (Acts 6:4; Col. 4:2; 1 Tim. 2:1; 2 Tim. 2:15; Matt. 28:19–20). Maintain authentic relationships with one another by lovingly speaking truth and being accountable to one another.
I am coming soon. All who are victorious will be citizens in the city of my God—the new Jerusalem that comes down from heaven from my God (Rev. 3:11–12), a place of peaceful rest.
Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what He is saying to the churches.”
